The Opportunity: 

Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a Telephone Operator to join our team. This position will work at dual locations- Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City and Smithville campus. You will have the opportunity to answer inbound calls to the switchboard and distribute the calls to the appropriate department or individual. This position handles all emergency events in a calm and efficient manner following the established process for the facility in which the emergency event occurs. 

 We are looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal skills and empathy for those in crisis. The ideal candidate has strong critical thinking skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks at once, prioritize work, and manage interruptions easily. To be successful in this role, strong customer service skills, willingness to work, adaptability and an eagerness to learn is required. This position will require you to work autonomously as well as with a team.
