The transportation of residents to and from hospitals, doctor’s offices, dialysis centers, medical offices, private homes, social functions, and Bishop Spencer activities in a safe and professional manner. Drivers will be responsible for keeping vehicles and equipment maintained, ensure vehicle is safe to operate and complete all required forms. Maintain a professional appearance adhering to the BSP dress code. Maintain a professional and courteous service attitude while adhering to BSP’s professional code of ethics.
Requirements
Current Missouri Class E or Kansas driver’s license Pass all BSP background checks Pass drug test Pass physical CPR certified Knowledge of Kansas City / Plaza area Good communication skills Able to multi-task and handle a fast pace work environment Passionate about caring for seniors Good customer service Outgoing and friendly demeanor
Duties
Transporting residents in a safe a professional manner. Works with dispatcher to coordinate transportation requests in a timely and efficient manner. Communicates with dispatcher and fellow drivers to receive relevant data and instructions. Maintain a professional behavior, and attitudes in regards to residents, staff, and visitors. Completion of vehicle inspection prior to daily usage for safe and comfortable resident transportation. Assist with transferring and balancing residents. Caring for BSP vehicles - cleaning, washing and fueling Capable of understanding directions and the ability to use maps accurately Maintains a professional appearance Adheres to BSP uniform requirements Perform all duties as assigned
