Job Description​

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Director to provide operational management and business development of the Surgical Services Department. This position leads multiple managers while supporting the day-to-day operations of the department.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Peri-anesthesia Services
  • Main Operating Rooms
  • Neurosurgery Operating Rooms
  • Endoscopy Department
  • Sterile Processing Department

This director will work collaboratively with other departments within the hospital to improve the patient experience and outcomes. This is a great opportunity to use quantitative skills and experience to analyze data to drive performance, better workflow optimization, and enhance overall operations of the Surgical Services Department.

  • Develop policies and procedures consistent with clinical best practices.
  • Recommend staffing requirements based on volume, severity of illness and standards for care delivery.

               

We are seeking to fill the role of Director of Surgical Services with a leader who is proactive, collaborative, analytical and solutions driven. To be successful, you will need to be employee and patient focused while keeping quality and safety in the Operating Rooms a top priority.  A strong ability to build relationships with staff, peers, and physicians is essential.  We are looking for a mentor who enjoys developing others and helping them achieve their goals.

Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
