The 2024 United States election brought voters to the polls to cast their ballots in national and local races, but not every registered voter can make it to the polls due to unexpected circumstances.

That includes patients during hospital stays, but state laws have provisions for these extenuating circumstances. One patient at Saint Luke's North Hospital shared her experience with FOX4 after she was able to successfully cast her ballot from her hospital bed, thanks to a collaborative effort with hospital staff and her local election board.
