Saint Luke’s Health System is committed to the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and staff. Effective Nov. 1, 2021, full COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment for all SLHS employees.

The CDC has expanded its definition of close contact regarding COVID-19, which may cause some to reevaluate how they interact with people throughout the day.

Wearing masks and social distancing are still the strongest words of advice from the CDC, but there is a change when it comes to the risk of exposure.

KMBC talked to Dr. Sarah Boyd, an infectious disease physician on Saint Luke's COVID Response Team, about what the change means for the day-to-day.
