An Odessa couple has proven to be a perfect match not just in their marriage but also in a life-saving kidney transplant.

Stephen Eller was diagnosed with kidney failure in March 2023 and was informed that he would need a donor. To his surprise, he found one in his best friend.

KMBC talked to Dr. Matthew Wilkinson, transplant surgeon at Saint Luke's, about living organ donation and the couple's incredible story.
