Rafael Duarte was born prematurely at 22 weeks, weighing 1 lb. and 1oz. Rafael had a 3% chance of survival and had a complicated 2-month journey.

This boy, whose name means, ‘God heals,’ is now eight years old and thriving in the third grade. He and his mom, Cecilia, came back to the NICU to show thanks for what the doctors and nurses did to help save his life.
