Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute is actively searching for a BC/BE thoracic medical oncologist to lead a multidisciplinary thoracic oncology program at Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, MO.
About the position
• Our academically focused, QOPI-certified practice serves as a primary teaching site for the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and hosts a robust clinical research program
• The successful candidate will assume leadership of an existing thoracic oncology program that is anchored by the Frank and Evangeline Thompson Thoracic Center
• This center focuses on multidisciplinary care of thoracic malignancies by a team that includes thoracic radiology, interventional pulmonology and radiology, medical and radiation oncology, thoracic surgery, palliative care, and a dedicated nurse navigator
• Experience in precision oncology is highly valued, as the Institute’s Center for Precision Oncology (CPO) leverages extensive expertise in tissue and liquid genomics to guide targeted treatments
• The CPO also includes a biweekly molecular tumor board and hosts a monthly regional molecular tumor board
• In addition to clinical care, the candidate will be expected to develop a robust clinical research program, assist in development of multidisciplinary care pathways, and be actively involved in resident/fellow teaching
